lol, yeh I built a sheetmetal dash a while ago but I want to redo it anyways, it will be totally original
I dont wanna give anything away, but it will flow well,

I'll post pics as I go, soon this thread will be done and a exterior / bodywork thread will begin, then yull see the new dash. that gives away a little, lol

no, i was refering to the wrecking bar as a custom bar

I dont want to thread jack but you seem like the guy to talk to!

My original from setup left the front frame under the cab 2 3/4" off the ground when fully deflated. I have decided to redo the entire front setup in order to lay frame and currently have tires with a diameter of 25.5". I want to completely lay out my front suspension with re6 bags. I just pulled the re6 out to see if i could get the upper and lower arms up enough without anything binding/hitting and before my LCA notch hit the subframe i believe my UCA balljoint maxed out. I think the only thing stopping me from fully laying out up front with stock uppers and lowers is the balljoint. Would you suggest spacing the UCA as well in comdination with pie cut uppers? would you suggest a balljoint flip on the UCA?

I have learned lots from this thread but still would like your opinion

would this style of pie cut allow my UCA balljoint to have more movement to lay out? keep up the great work

well lets see, the bag mount positions are critical, to set up mine I layed it all out first , cut out all the crap in the way, then measured using crushed height to mount my upper bag plate.
I did space my uppers, as I saw flamed s10 do , though still not satisfied with that yet, and when I pie cut I used my contractors square to determine the wedge to be removed, I couldnt get the UCA to bend so I cut it straight accross the top, and rewelded and metal finished it.
I didnt flip my upper BJ, though I may yet. Sounds like a good theory to help with less camber
I have to tweak my set up still so stay tuned I want to limit some of my camber, so I have none fully raised.
I may angle my upper bag mount and pocket notch the frame a little, maybe even Z,......

yes flip the upper it will help your bj

it just looks so sketchy, prolly lots out there never fail.
but if or when I get the fuzz givin me attention I wanna have it look as safe as possible an if that means building uca and lca's so be it,
I dont wanna end up in court trying to prove it , it'd require an engineers endorsement, here "they " dont like custom raised or lowered vehicles.
here in BC if any officer has the "opinion" my vehicle is "unsafe" , I have to prove it is, otherwise it'll be condemned by the DOT.
Prolly end up crushed, lol
Not worth the risk after all this money spent
they can take it to the scrapyard on the spot, and leave me walkin.
happened a few times here, to buddys o mine.
Just cuz my frame is cut it will never ever pass a safety inspection again.
i had it saftied just before I began to mod it.
I bought the truck in AB so it needed a cross provincial inpection, it failed horribly and I had everything fixed to pass, besides I didnt want to polish a turd ,, lol
maybe we all are deluded, and doing that very thing, lol
these never were a good vehicle, just good lookin, lol
