I have the shocks on either side so they act as a hinge, and keep it stable , really its like 3 hinges, I will take a pic when its on again of it opened, the box is off for bodywork right now.
It wont be used a lot , only if I need to acess the air system for an issue or something

Also my frame curls in on both sides, behind the axle, and if I used 2 solid hinges .... I didnt trust it to allow the box to line up with the cab perfectly all the time, it would be tricky to dial it in , I dunno at some point I may build a new frame , then we will see. I may change the hinging, but I tested it a lot and it work well, the hinge is super heavy duty
Seth was talking about how these frames are not as perfect as they seem to be a few years ago, and he was soo right. waay out of square, yet when the box was bolted down it all worked,

so, I have decided to build a new frame, a bit of an undertaking, but its gonna really help up front, narrowing, and raising the front frame horns, and using 2x3 square tube 1/8" thick. I can compensate for the engine mounting height as well.
After carefull measuring and lazer alignment I can see how far out the factory frame was, not a precise piece of work at all
