I love the sawzall blade in the last pic.

Did any of you reinforce the upper c-arm? how?

Juiced, how is the ride quality on only 3 coils of spring?

Thanx again guys

The original UCA was heavily braced on the inside. The chrome one is not (oops). The hydro cylinder typically has a longer stroke than the suspension has range. If the bumpstops are left in and you over extend the cylinder the UCA will have a tendency to bend near wher the ball joint mounts. If you remove the bump stops and mounts completely, the UCA does not bend, but you stand a good chance of ripping the upper ball joint apart.

Will I run into these problems with a 8" cylinder in the front or should I go smaller? I'm planning on cutting out all the bumpstops. sorry for bein a pain in the ass, I just want to do it right.

I did not brace my UCA at all. I have had no issues. Remeber alot of this all depends on how you play with your switches. Since my truck is running accumulators its not scary fast. With 36 volts and the batteries fully charged it can only hop 1/2' or so. I rarely use it for more than up and down. If you wanna hop and 3 wheel and go ape then yes you are gonna need to reinforce things.

BTW if you are concerned about ride, go accumulators with your juice. It is awesome! Rides like a caddy!

You shouldn't have any issues with 8 inch cylinders. You are not being a pain you asking questions we all do it. That is what we are here for.

Those are 8's on my truck. And as stated above, if ya dont go crazy, the parts will survive. On another note, if you can design it to run a full length mini-coil it will ride pretty good without accumulators. If you end up with a short spring, then the accumulators help out a lot.

I have a set of Prohopper Mini Coils if anybody needs them. I have Super Stroker cylinders and they won't fit over them. Pm me if interested. They're brand new.
