I wish I had done the front first too, lol...
Go to Sears or somewhere of the likes and get an angle finder. As well, look at that link I posted up above and read the crap out of EVERY resource! Your really gonna need to study this before you jump in on this one. Well, that is if you wanna do it right!
Also, check out my project thread and read through the pages. You will see what I had to go through to learn this and you should get alot of your answers, answered.
I dunno how big the bars are that you have now, but I'm running 1" OD bars and have gussets extending the length of the bar for the links that are being used to support the bag. It all depends where you go as well in terms of prices.
Check out suicidedoors.com for parts, or contact Seth on here at Twisted Minis for some. Shoot Dev at The Bag Shack is good too. He's even got his own forum here on the board. Get ahold of him and he will hook you up.
Relocating the link bars is a good idea as well. Right now, the geometry of the bars could be totally out of whack and very undesirable for handling characteristics.
Like I said, the stroke of the bag is what determines the amount of travel. If your bag gives you 11" travel, and you get all the 11" of travel, then your fine.
Ride height is just a height you want to drive your truck at. It does'nt matter on anything except how low you wanna drive it the majority of the time. I've got mine setup at 5" off the ground. So everything on my suspension is setup for a 5" ride height, like pinion angle, 4-link, driveshaft plunge...
BTW, if you decide to put the bags on the bars, I would suggest going with square tubing for the bars, IMO. I'm sure it won't matter and some will say that round is better but, the key is how big the bars are and how thick.
Really instill this in your head that it is important to have a proper setup on a 4-link or everything will be crap and your big toy won't be very fun when your driving.
