how do i get these leaf springs out or apart? the little bolt at the bottem of the springs, when i turn it it just spins the top but the top does look like a bolt that i can put a wrench on?

first off when you get to this part put a C-clamp on it or injury may occur ..

hold top of it with a vise grip and take nut off with socket or what ever and then the leafs will come apart and bend out those things in end that also keep em together ..

go here and it dhows you how exept i put my load leaf under not on top but wateve

follow those instructions and you should be good to go

thanks, i just finished my lowering for right now, i just did the 3 inch blocks in rear and cranked the torsions down. i took out both front and rear bump stops. looks nice, but still needs to go lower, debating if i should wait till after winter though. stl gets some shitty snow and ice, along with all the uneven streets

If you're wanting a lowered Mazda to ride good, I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed. I've not heard of the Nissan shocks for the front, but not saying Cody is wrong either. My truck as a set of cheap Toxic shocks for a lowered Mazda and it rides OK. Nowhere near like the Denali does, but the Mazda never will.

You will need to cut off the front bumpstop brackets if you don't want to listen to them banging all the time. Mine has 3" blocks and the removed leaves. The front probably could come down a little more, but I drive mine daily and have to navigate some pretty nasty railroad tracks so mine will stay where it is.
