Ok guys.... I'm finally startin to bag my truck... YAY. I won't be such a "poser" now hahahaha... Anyways, down to business...

I am plannin on layin on 20s with 225/30 tires... so the overall tire height will be 25.3" I wanna bag it on stock control arms and no drop spindles cuz I love camber!!! And I'm gonna have the IRS in the back so ALL WHEEL camber FTW I'm usin the toyota spindles up front... so I have the toyota upper ball joints and mazda lowers....

My question is. Which ball joints should I flip?? Top? Bottom? Both? And should I pie cut the uppers???

I'm gonna be runnin 2wd sheetmetal and I'm wantin to cut a lil into the frame and replate it so I can put to bag in a lil farther than normal... You guys think I'll need to?? Bein bodydropped 2 3/4" on 25.3" tire?? I'm runnin Dominator 2500s up front and 2600s out back. So they get a ton of lift. The "cuttin into the frame" idea was jus in case I wont get enough lift. But dominators MAY already get enough. Thanks for the help guys!!!

Yea but i've read somewhere to jus flip one or the other and maybe not pie cut the uppers?? or do pie cut them?? I jus dont know what to do to get the results I'm lookin for, ya know??

Only flip the bottom ball joints. And your gonna have to pie cut the uppers. Alot.

Josh, if you love camber then you definitely will want flip lowers only and pie the upper CA. If you want you can hold off on the upper CA until you have the bags in and see how she lays. Do you have the wheels already?

what do you mean by pie cutting your control arms?

sorry not trying to thread jack..

Here's the thread about pie cutting the upper arm... its right after the pics that he has of the upper brackets welded on....

Ok, so maybe jus flip the lower ball joint and lay it out and see how the rims sit??? Then pie cut the uppers if I need more camber?? And ya I have SOME rims that are about the same size as the 20s I'm gonna use. They have an overall tire height of 25".... The are 18s with some 40 series tires

I'm takin a bunch of pics so I'll post some when I have enough progress to be worth posting... Thanks so far guys, keep the opinions coming!!!

The over all diameter is not the only concern, the wheel offset and the width of the tire are issues too. These 2 things can make or break your use of 2wd sheet metal. I am only running 18s and super low profile tires, but I still had to roll the lip on my 4x4 front fenders. I did use drop spindles and flipped upper ball joints and haven't pie cut the UCAs either. I realize that all these things make it easier to tuck, but I think you get the point. You may want to get your wheels before cutting too much stuff out and plating anything. I hope I am being helpful and not just a pain in you a$$.

No no man, its good info. I know about the offset. The wheels I have now are car rims so they should be fine. And when i get my 20s, I'll only buy high offset ones. So i got that under control haha. I think I'm gonna flip the lowers and go ahead and pie cut the uppers no cuz I'm havin to weld the ball joint holes shut and redrill then so I might as well do it now while I have the arm off... I'm pretty positive I'm gonna have to do it later anyway

Ok.. well i got the ball joint literally flipped over and still on the under side of the arm. I may put it on the top side still, I'm not sure yet. got the toyota ball joint in place and bolted on. I got everything cut out, for the most part. The lower control arm is still hittin the frame. I'm guessin I need to cut more out still. But I got the spindle put on and the wheel well cut out so its not hittin anymore... So at the end of the day, I'm tuckin a lil rim <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /> here's a teaser....
