Mine rides just fine besides the pot holes and ive dropped it quite a bit.. I tuck in front, but what i did was re-index the torsion bars, cut off the bump stop brackets and used Isuzu pup shocks. Mono in back with overload, 3" blocks. And like said above be sure to cut the bump stops down to the u-bolt. Like you said you have an OLDER sony.. so most likely its dirty and your cds are a bit scratched thats the only reason its skipping. Mine dont skip even when I hit the hardest bump.

Yeah man that sounds more like a problem with the cd player. I have a decent pioneer and im dropped 3-4 inches on stock shocks and it never skips lol. I'll have to take my truck up to slc and give ya a ride lol its something you've just got to experience to fully understand.

I think it is probably just my shocks...the truck has 315000 miles on it, and I'm no Mazda guru but the shocks look stock to me. The CD player might be dirty inside as well, I'm getting a new player soon, but suspension comes first. I like how XjoewhiteX's truck sits so maybe I'll drop mine like his in the next two weeks. Anyways thanks for the replies.

right on i've pretty much got the same setup as him I just dont have the mono leafs just yet lol. It will look sweet for sure. You have any idea on what kind of rims your wanting on it?

Once you move over to MP3's you'll never have to deal with skips again, or horrible sound quality. My deck has a front USB port, and my jump drive is 16gb (I can listen to 6 months of music without hearing the same song twice). I have to figure out how to get the (original) stock deck out of my new truck, and put my good deck in.

I haven't seen a CD in probably 8 months, and they sure as hell dont reside in my truck..

I'm planning on running 18" Tenzo Project-7 V1 wheels on the truck. I have to switch over to Toyota spindles, so it will be a little while before I get those wheels.

Yep, I need to do this. I get tired of switching my CD's between my two trucks, and I can't even fit all of them into one CD book.
