now what if the bag practically collapses in itself? That would be considered a pinch and no good right?

If collapses when laid out into itself, there is no problem. Thats the way a lot/most shops set torsion style setups like.

well hell....I guess there really is no reason for me to do these wedges then..haha But the bag itself looks like it's ballooning out when lifted at ride height, like almost how a "7" looks.

Because that's what happened with the older bags, they were torn up on the side that the bag flexed on.
