well up until this point ive been told a few different things on whether or not my overload leafs are stock. last i heard was they are in fact stock, so how the hell can i get it slammed without being a potential statistic and without spending a shitload of money. a recap on what ive got right now, 3" blocks, no bumpstops, the main leafs and the overload leafs.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that looks like you've still got the second leaves in there. The overload is a big thick bar like piece that would go on the bottom of the stack. You don't have an overload in there at all now.

really?

1hotdawg is right. You have the wrong leaf under your main. Should be the overload (the short fat leaf at the bottom of the spring pack). I'm looking on my cell, so that may be why the picture is hard to make out, but it looks like you're sitting on your rear bump stops. Remove them and you'll drop. Seeing as you only have the main leaf and secondary leaf you'll probably move straight to slapping the axle on the frame and need a notch or larger blocks to go lower in the rear. I suggest replacing the secondary leaf with the overload.

yup and dont just stay with the main put the fat helper in think of it this way when take metal in your hand and bend it back and forth it breaks same thing will happen with only the main spring

so my overall question is how do i get it slammed like everyone else's when all their runnin is the main and overload, why is my truck so fuckin high??
addiktion   +1y
i have no bump stops front or back

Your truck is so high because you're running to leaves instead of the one and the overload. The overload doesn't add lift like the second leaf you have on yours does. It just helps keep the leaf from bending too far when carrying a heavy load...think of the overload spring as a progressive coil spring. The more pressure exerted on it the more effect it has...the stiffer it gets...but it doesn't lift, just keeps you from going beyond the limit of the spring.
