Ill get some pictures tomorrow, i bought them off ebay.

Yeh it does look good but the main spring does not look happy. It rides fairly well though aside from hitting the frame on hard bumps.

Im currently debating putting the overload on the bottom of the pack rather than the top. Would this stop the main leaf flexing so bad? Im mainly concerned with safety as i dont want it shattering as i bounce down the road.

on rear of my truck its mono leafed but I use Monroe load leveler shocks like these. im not sure what model I bought them for but ill get the part numbers. I also use them on the front for a 90 f150

the shocks did raise it about an inch but the improved ride was worth it and they are cheap. I bought mine through advance auto for $60 a pair

Well sorry I have taken a while to chime in here.

I have lowered more of these trucks than I can remember over 20+ years ( I can remember lowering new B2200's straight from the dealer)

The absolute best rear setup for static BY FAR has got to be de-arched leafs in the rear (ask them to make them flat) and add another leaf to the pack, then use stiffer rear shocks (I like the Toyota T-100 shocks by bilstein)

I currently have that setup and nobody can believe how well it rides - people say it's like a cadillac.

I can load 2-3 Honda engines in the back no problem! The added leaf keeps it from hitting the frame too hard even though my stoppers are cut flush and I only have about 1-1/2" of travel but that's all it needs.

Anything else in my opinion is a compromise. If you really wanted it lower you could c-notch it and add a 1-2" block which I have done for people too. I may actually do it on this truck but not sure.

Cheers for the reply, i put a overload on the top of my main leaf so its now acting like a de arched pack, the only problem i have is that it flexs a hell of a lot and the strain worries me.

It has 2 other leafs in the pack but what can i say, im still a little dubious.

If anyone can put my mind to test that would be great.

Also the part numbers etc for the shocks you guys are talking about would be great BUT im in the UK so it may be hard to find over here!

It also currently has 3 inch lowering blocks on at the moment, ill get some pictures of the way the suspension sits for you guys.

Hey Dangersoulylow,

I'm assuming you live somewhere in Washington state? Your truck is one of my old trucks!
