EEK!

Okay, if I remember correctly, your in for alot more work than you think!

When I had to panel my old bed, the spot welds were along the inside of the rails. Once you drill them out and punch at it, the bedsides end at the little lip under the inside rail. You cant see it unless you bend the outside sheetmetal.

Go along the whole bed like that until they are all free.

As for the front, the front piece comes off with bolts, but I dunno where in the front the spot welds are for the front.

As for the back, where the tail light is, that bodyline that runs down is where you seperate the two panels. Inside the tail light housing the spot welds can be drilled. Under the bed you will see where the two join inside and you will need to drill those as well.

After all is said and done, the outer bed panel can be removed! Repeat this for the other side!

After that, I'm pretty sure it will be just the bed itself. The taillight portion and the rollpan may be one with it... I doubt it though.

Finding the spot welds are a b$%@h!

HAVE PATIENCE, take your time finding them, and pry on stuff slowly and gently to find the others!

IF I were you, I would say screw that, and cut the bedsides and floor where you want and drop in the other one and weld it all back in without the spot welds!

I would just get it blasted again and use some epoxy primer/sealer and go from there. Cut out the old bed floor and have them blast the rails as well. Then Install your floor when you get it back.

ok if i cut the floor out before i have it blasted do i need to weld some braces in between the the rails to keep the sides from folding in, and at the front of the bed floor you have the bed support that the front wall bolts to what im trying to figure out is if i replace the floor im gonna go ahead and body drop it so when i bag it i have no holes in the floor so do i just section the front wall and do i cut that brace out and raise it with the floor

ok well i took everyones advice and decided to just replace the floor. i started cutting the old floor out today but due to no shop and it started raining all i got cut was one side and along the tailgate as soon as i get the other side cut i will post some pics

well it stopped raining long enough to day for me to cut the other side but i still gotta cut the supports in the fender wells out then its off to be blasted again before i install the new floor

If you do decide to por15 something, use eastwoods rust encapsulator instead.

well i got the rotten floor out now i gotta get the sides ready to be sealed and primed and get the other bed off the truck and cut the floor outta it and into the 4x4 bed and trimmed for the body drop and weld it back up and bed line it and ill be all done

i got the bed off the truck today and got the floor cut out now tomorrow i get to weld it back in and extend my bed supports and make my spacers and get the bed back on ill get some pics when i start welding the floor back in

well i got the bed floor in today but the welder i was using wont worth a damn so i just used the original front wall mounting location and bolted the front in and i put a couple of self tapping bolts in the rear until my boy comes buy tomorrow with his welder so we can weld it in
