YOU CAN USE PECAN SHELLS AS WELL.... THEY WORK WONDERS AND ARENT AS HARSH AS SAND MUT GETS THE JOB DONE... IF THE PAINT IS GOOD WINTH MINOR SCRATCHES.... JUST HIT THE BAD PANELS WITH 320GRIT IN A DA AND WETSAND THE GOOD PANELS WITH 400 GRIT TO KNOCK THE SHINE DOWN THEN YOU CAN SPRAY AWAY......BUT IF EVERYPANEL HAS PROBLEMS JUST 320 THE WHOLE TRUCK AND HAVE FUN.

so i can just sand the shine off and paint away?? and im kinda low on cash and kinda getting the idea to spray paint it temporarly till i get enough cash since it is a daily for the next 2 years. i wont have to worry so much about scratches and stuff but are there any pics with some spray paint jobs?

50 bucks you can do the roll on paint job and looks way better than spray paint

SAVE 250... WET SAND THE TRUCK YOURSELF AND GO TO MAACO......CASE CLOSED DONT SPRAY PAINT YOUR TRUCK......UNLESS YOU GO FLAT BLACK OR A NICE SATIN BLACK OTHERWISE IT WILL MOST LIKELY TURN OUT NOT THE WAY THAT YOU WANT IT TO.

Technically andy "flat" color will be fine in spray paint, If your paint isnt too bad than why not just keep it?

my paints all scratch and chipped with like patches of different red in it where i shaved things and did body work. So that would be a know on spray paint cuz i don't want to go flat black. how bad are maaco paint jobs? all i have heard is that they are really bad and not to get them from there cuz u get what you pay for

what if i preped it for them and did all the body work do you think it would be worth it? all i got is around $500 to work with.

You dont have to go flat black for spary paint. My truck is flat white and rustoleum sky blue. I like it! The rustoleum may be a little more expensive than the flat colored rattle cans but if done right rustoleum has a pretty descent shine to it. Im thinkin about doin my whole truck blue like the top!

should i use rustoleum or can i use any type of spray paint from the autp store. im not talking about the cheap paint you get at walmart but the decent stuff at the auto store. im thinking of getting some spray paint and doing maybe like a front fender and seeing how it turns out

Thats how i decided on what i wanted i just did one fender to see what it came out like. Rustoleum has a bit of shine to it..kinda like a paint job with no clear coat..

Does anyone remember that link to "The 50 Dollar Paint Job" ??? I think i might...
