Also and I will comment on the common s10 comment everyone says.

The way I look at a s10 and mazdas or whatever truck are the same. I could care less if everything on your truck is bolted on and not welded. As long as it's safe, hating on someone's truck because they opt'd to buy a bolt on because they either didn't have the tools or the time or something in that matter is just childish. If they would have made a bolt on kit for my truck when I first got it I would have been all over it.

I wouldn't think that putting the tank above the carby or fuel pump would really matter since the carb has a float in it to stop excess fuel going in anyway.
The pump shouldn't really matter either since it's fully sealed and the fuel has to go down before it comes back up to the pump so it shouldn't have too much gravity pressure behind it.
P.S. As far as aesthetics go who really cares what it looks like, if it looks really ugly it's easy to cover and if you want to be different you could always change it to a beer keg, I've seen it done here a few times and it looks pretty cool once it's all polished up.
