no, no.. you don't use a plasma cutter to cut out sheetmetal for body mods.

here's the pics from the dealer trip. there are now a number of reasons i agree with those dudes that the mod won't work (as i had planned in my head). for sure someone could still slap a set in the ass of their truck, but upon closer inspection it won't look as i thought originally. im bummed.

in the first pic it looks like the angle and contour of the light and body are relatively similar to the bed of the mazda (+1)

the angle of the back of the tail light looking at it in the 2nd pic doesn't match the contour of the mazda bed. maybe if the tail light was pushed all the way up to the top mazda bodyline it might work out?? dunno. (-1)

the way the light mounts into the escape is i think with two tabs or clips on the sides, and two screws in the back that are accessable when you open the rear hatch. that puts a damper on the mounting in the mazda with no opening hatch... (-1)

also on the very top of the light, in the back where the red and white meet, there's a bodyline (kinda) that continues from the hatch that i never noticed before, and might look funny in the mazda (-1)

so if you total my points from above lol you get (-2) which kinda points toward not doing it. guess i'll keep lookin at tails from other vehicles

I wasnt meaning use the plasma on the body.. that be to hot to fast, use the plasma for the frame and plates,no I did all my body work with a drill and jigsaw that way i had more control over it
