I can take one but I have no Idea how to get it to show on this Forum, Usually an "X" in a box shows!

6 and 1/2's will sound better than 6x9s. Simple pysics, sound creates from a round pull of the magnet.. so a 6x9 is really a 6in speaker made to fit. Yes they make differet shape speakers.. but true round ones will sound better.. and you will get a truer sound.

As for how long it took me to make those door pannels.. about 2 afternoons.. but it was my first time making a set and its no where near perfect. But thanks for the compliments.

Just a tip, if your using 6 1/2" speakers they don't have to face any specific direction to have them sound good (they can even face each other. But when you use a 4", have the drivers door facing the passenger and the passenger speaker face the driver. I have found that this works best, using cheap to high quality speakers.

i moved mine up to the top of the dash by building custom pods and i think its sounds better then them being in the doors cause they bounce off the glass it sounds awesome!!!

It depends on what kind of speakers you replace the factory 4's with I have kenwood 4" in the front and a JBL component set in the pillars with the tweets mounted in the top corners pointing down and it sounds pretty damn good all I need now is a sub and it will be perfect

I have a standard cab with a pair of 4" Pioneers in the stock spots in the dash, and put a pair of 6x9s in seperate boxes, with the speakers facing up behind the bench. The sound is awesome. Now all I need is a sub and I'm set for my system.
