my question is i did a 2 3/4" bd on my truck and i just threw my stock bench seat in i am not going to use it but i was looking and the steering wheel is so close to the seat, i was just curious what you guys were doing when i squeeze in the steering wheel is basically in my lap and looks retarded.

well if you have a stock sterring wheel you could swap it out for a aftermarket one. those stock ones are pretty big, my Grant sterring wheel is a lot smaller.
that would probably give you a little more leg room without much modification.

ya i will have to get a smaller steering wheel and i am going to get bucket seats ill try to find some thing lower than the factory bench!

i have just a small steering wheel, and 99 integra seats.. im fat and i fit beautifully in it.. i have a 3" bodydrop.

dude i think a 8" gold chain steering wheel is in order, nah just kidding, try to find tilt steering

did any mazda trucks have tilt wheel?? if not what would work???

mazda had a tilt wheel sort of. It's more of a clamp tilt. From what I remember it sits in the stock position and can be lowered by releasing a lever under the steering wheel. I've seen them on car-part.com. Last time I looked there were several available.

I dont know if this would apply to the custom mini truck world, but I know people with custom VW's and hot rods will use a Tilt GM steering coloum and have it shortened or lengthened depending on what you need. You might also want to check out a company called "flamming River". I might be wrong, and I am not saying I have done this, I just know hot rodders use GM tilt systems.
