BOXHELPNEEDEDma 1200wt amp/mofo 12

has anyone ever saw a ported box in a std. cab? im getting a good deal on an ma audio 1200wt amp and a power acoustik mofo...its gona crack the bondo on my fenders haha. anyways pics would be awesome. thanks -bf

I've seen one with 8's for a fullsize std cab. But it wasn't a simple ported box. It was one of Jon Nolte's snailshell type boxes in a truck wedge design.

I run 3 8"'s in a regular cab and its sweet. Can't really fit more than that without sacraficing comfort. A 10" will fit between the seats in a fiberglass box but your elbows will hit it all the time.

well im real short and i have porche 924 seats and right now i have an mtx sealed between my seats. i was thinkin that i could make a box that takes up the whole back with it in the middle. and in the middle build it out because the sub is like 7 3/4" deep. its a monster. then have a port on the top in the middle or something. anyways heres a pic of my seats. and thanks for the replys. -bf

i'm in the process of building a ported box for two tens in my truck... it's a tight fit, i'll get you some pics when i get home from work in 4 hrs or so

ok, well i took some pictures of my box **SO FAR** , its been like this for like 2 months, because i dont feel like takin my seats out to finish it right now, im waiting on a bigger amp anyways... but here it is... you CAN infact have big bass in a std cab, and still have lots of leg room, my seats go to the back wall, ... this box isnt ported yet, and after listening to it for the last couple months im diggin a sealed box, plus its loud enough anyways... again it's not done, got another layer of glass to do, and ALOT of bondo work to do.

haha it's forest green fleece, with fiberglass resin... i guess you could say it looks camo lol

yeah i had a ported box in my std cab with two 10's behind my bench seat which could still be slid back almost all the way, me & my pops built is, year later my truck got broke into.... it can be done, i'd try to find some pics, but that would be like looking for a needle in a hay stack!!
