If your old head liner is in good shape then just sew the new stuff you wont the headliner to be right to it like madzatruck said. then put the old one back up and boom your done and it wont be as much work.

Was just reading topic and thought I would give my $0.02. Been using contact cement from Menards for years for custom upholstery jobs. Comes in gallon or quart sizes. Get the stinky stuff, not the water based stuff. Have used old LVHP (not HVLP) paint guns to apply (us in very well ventilated area or wear respirator!), coat both pieces, allow to dry and press together. Have also done many simulated rag tops and vinyl tops using same technique. Pic is of recent project - padded roof with cutout, vinyl & neon.

yeh, i've never tried water based stuff, I always asumed it would not fit this application, that comes in the LePaege blue striped or green striped can , I dont remember which one that is.
Hey immortal1 do ya know the chemical code or name of that menards product?
Any pro you ever see sprays the stuff, but the consistancy of the product has to be right.
I wish Gabes was down the street, you see those dudes on American Hot Rod, the boys got mad skills!
