If this DID help you, please take a second to send me an email and let me know that my work here was not for nothing. Email me by clicking here subject=Regarding the Tach/Clock HOW TO page

The a-hole that owned my truck before me broke the plastic thing on the back of the speedo that holds the cable on. I used some quicksteel to put it back on there but the needle jumps around a lot. Is it possible to JUST replace the rear part of the gauge?

Not my write up I just made sure to save the write up off the other site because things get deleted all the time. I hate when things go missing(been looking for my house keys for 3 months).

I'm glad to see this. I'm getting anxious to put my tach cluster in! Where can I get the 2 pins to add to the plug to make the clock work? Anyone know? Didn't know if that were a Radio Shck item or what. Thanks in advance.

That thing's called a t-tap. Auto parts stores sell them. You could also use a scotch lock. Auto parts stores also sell those.

You could hit up the junkyard too.

I found it MUCH easier.....ok......only actually possible to fully clip the speedo cable to my new cluster by unscrewing the speedo cable from the tranny so that I could really get a good hold on it further out of the dash...fortunatly my truck is not yet dropped so I was able to do this without jacking up the truck

I know what a T tap is. I was referring to the actual pins that go into the O.E. plug.
