popper location?

yeah. i mounted the L bracket that came with it thru the inner sheetmetal on the door. i had to cut a slot in the sheetmetal and slide the bracket through where it mounts to the siloniod. so the mounting location where it mounts to the door was just switched to the other side of the sheetmetal. just that little bit of space i gained was just enough to clear the window. does that make sense at all?

either im retarded or this doesnt fit





i appreciate all the help you guys have given but i still seem to be stumped, tried vertical below the latch bolted to the inner door ( window catches) near inner handle (absolutly no room) what about the bottom of the door? do i need to worry about interference with the window and pull cable? im completely lost on this one AGAIN

P.S. I got all the wiring finished and it all works and i didnt zap myself
have i told you guys how much i hate wiring? ha

oh yeah and either i never got or have seemed to have lost my L bracket.... ill make one tomorrow if i need to i guess

alright got the solenoid at the bottom rear of the door, at about a 45 degree angle, seems to be working ok, gotta tighten everything up tomorrow due to circumstances beyond my control (sunlight and a bitchy girlfriend) i couldnt finish everything tonight, oh well tomorrow is another day, and yes ill take pics you flippin whores

that particular solenoid you can mount in the bottom rear of the door vertically.... just position it on the outside of the door and mark the bolt hole with a sharpie.... then drill it out and slide a bolt in and put a nut on the inside of the door frame...if it is low enough in the door then it wont interfere with the window....

i didnt know what the fbi kit looked like and wasnt sure what mine was but now i know its different. disregard what i said about the L bracket.

thats where mine is mounted also. I have the Big solenoids, theres a lil groove in the metal i cut it out, it misses the window, but not by much

i took the L bracket that came with my autoloc kit and cut it into, shortened it, then welded it back together. It fit fine then.

yeah i fingered it out, but also went splits'ville with my girlfriend, so now, im basically living outta the mazdawg for the next couple days until i get all my furniture out and into a new place... ill get pics up, and ill give good detailed explanations as to what i did to make it work...soon
