Here is a pic of where I located mine, I've had S10 after S10 and they are easy to intall a shaved door handle kit on, but these lil trucks are slightly more difficult due to the door being so thin. I only had one problem with this install, and a buddy of mine had the same issue with his ranger, it's hard to get the solonoids like mine to ground, seems like the door doesn't ground itself like an S10 does. I had to run two wires through the jam instead of only one, no big deal but figured I would throw that out there for someone doing it the first time and using these type of solonoids. I also have learned in the past that the metal cable that comes with the kits, loosen themself up over time, I use heavy duty zip ties in addition to the metal cables. The zip ties are much much easier to adjust to the right tension as well. Anyways, here are the pics, good luck and hope this helps.

i had mine located like that as well... but also you can mount it directly under the latch mechanism....with the popper pointing up, that way it will clear the window and still be able to stay tight while pulling. i used the 35# autoloc actuators and never had a problem, but i took them out due to me going a different way with my build

This is how mine are mounted, they rattle like crazy and they were rigged up when I bought it. I had to fix'em to get in and out. The windows clear and the solonoid doesn't hit them with the window down. The wiring was a rigged too with the alarm(pain in assss) so I had to go through to get it sorted out. The b*tch is after it's done to wire up a "back-up".
