not to be a douche, but if there wasn't a light in it before, then how do you know if it was on or not before you put the bulb in?

Look under the dash by the driverside panel. Just above it you will find two wires. One is plugged in and the other is loose. Switch the wires in the plug. This will turn off the CEL.

This is an emmision warning. It comes on every 60k miles, I think. It is an easy fix.

could i possibly get a pic .. i went to look for it and dont know what ya talkin bout

mine did the same thing when i put it in. so i took out the bulb, which is probably why yours was missng.

its no big deal, just pull the bulb again,or switch those wires around under the dash. its easy, they're under the steering column near the fuse panel. One will be plugged into the other and the other will have a loose wire hanging from it as bulrid8 said.

and yes, your idle is correct. will idle slightly higher when cold.

My truck idles at about 800-1000 with a Weber. My check engine light comes on now. It started when I switched to the new cluster but once the trucks starts to warm up it go's away.

the light probably comes on with your weber because all your emission crap is removed now,so it's probably registering to the ecu that the truck is running too lean on start up while cold or something along the lines of that.

As it warms up and everything gets to temp and is normal,it would stop registering the fault and go out.
