engine light comes on

Green red band brown and white wire under driver side above kick panel unplug the green/red wire and plug the brown wire in. feel for them above the main harness

guys i tried this and the engine light is still on ..

even if i run it for awhile.. i tried the wired but still comes on..

maybe something is wrong?? what idk!!! maybe if ur in limp mode it comes on?

make that picture a sticky in the tech forum, this is why the engine light come on most of the time
i found out about this years ago and ive always forgotten to take a pic of it when i get there,
this happens the truck reaches 60,xxx miles 120,xxx kms
its a service/money grab for the dealer

we run into this problem all the time

Also the O2 sensor is a big Light on also...

could be something as simple as your oxygen sensor setting it off. infact,that's probably what it is, or some emissions related component, such as your EGR valve.

how do i kno if its my O2 sensor ?

pull out your 02 sensor and see if it is all white and oxidized. if so,replace it. if it's black or brown,it's probably okay.

you could also have a plugged catalytic converter
