Sub to amp wiring help needed

i have always heard that turning your subs to face the rear off the cab helps but i have a kicker l5 12 and a typeR 10 facing forwards and they sound the same facing backwards, both have their own amp tuned and caps, facing either way it bumps stupid good, my lights always come off my roof and my doors on the outside flex with the bass

My mates car stereo that he enters in sound offs has the speaker wires going in through the ports, mostly because he is running power wire for speaker wire, but it doesn't rattle enough to be noticeable, if it became an issue you could always glue them in place with hot melt glue.
I, myself don't run cups, I drill holes the size of the individual wires (4 of them) coat the wires in soap and force them through the box, once they go far enough inside I do a little sealing with liquid nails, but since it's such a tight fit on the wires its not really needed

Its more then just reflection. A lot of bass has to do with frequency wave length and that's why adjusting your box like tuning it to the back wall can make a difference. You want usuaully the 1/4 wave or the 1/2 wave depending on how high the frequency to hit around where your ears are. Or if you compete you want it to be where the spl is sensor is.and its kind of a reflection type thing you want. You want all the truck to be solid. The more solid it is the less energy you loose. Flex is lost energy.so it could sort of be called reflection. And the other way to make your truck loud is to find the resonating frequency of your truck and try and tune to it. My truck peaks at 3 spots. 43,53 and 68hz. So when I competed I tuned to peak at 68hz. Everything became more effiecnt and it was just louder. But in a daily setup..like and ext cab...honestly the best way to fire the woofers for music is woofers and port firing down. You hae to have some clearance so the woofers aren't actually on the ground lol. And if ou want spl numebrs out of a ext cab mazda best way is woofers fwd and port up.
