Need help with Cluster Removal!

lol, yeah i got the speedometer out, turned out it doesnt match the APC sticker, I got a new one that matches but Im stuck at the rivets. On the old model they were screws like the speed needle. now these ones on the 89 speedo have the rivets. Wndering If I can just drill them out from the bottom or if they need to be there later.

I have a pic of the APC gauge faces on a tach cluster. I didn't have any problems with the rivets...



Also I find that it helps with the gauges to loosen the speedo cable. There is a retaining clip that sits on the firewall that holds the cable in position. remove the cable from this clip and you'll have a couple more inches of slack. Sorry, no pic of this....
