Finally got my truck in the garage today and the bed is totally ready to come off but I have no one here to help me lift it! I want to dig in but I'm at a stand still.

Cool... Keep us posted. Looks real dusty, or just dirt from the road... isnt that what it is.. i bet its pretty clean under all that.

ya the frame will come out looking pretty clean as it doesn't look to rusty at all.

So is it safe to cut my gas tank crossmember out or do I need to fab my other crossmember first?

SWEET! Can't wait to see how it will turn out.

How did ya get the bed off?

LOL, the funniest thing is that the same way your doors are on your garage is just like mine! They don't like to fully close, its gheeetttooo...

So I added a tarp carport onto it, lol!

Was gonna ask the same thing. Was also gonna suggest using the same method I did - 4 small ratchet straps from each of the 4 hold downs in the bed, then to a center point over the bed, connected to a come along connected to the rafters. Bed does not weigh much, just akward.

Good luck!

My father in-law came home from running errands and we pulled it off. Need to get a grinder though. Whats the best way to center the diff after I put in my notches and am ready to do the four link? My diff is off a quarter inch to the passenger side! Don't know if it was from when I did my monoleaf and blocks or what.

Okay if you can remove the overload leaf put your wheels back on and let it back on the ground if possible get a few guys and get some wieght on the frame until the axle hits the frame. Tack the axle to the frame and remove your leaf springs and cut out the perches and start your 4 link as most time this about ride hieght. Then measure the bottom of the frame at it's losest point to the ground and thats how mush of a step notch you need most times I add 3 to 4 inches just in case you want to go to bigger wheels.
