actually bro, believe it or not, parts for the pre86s are a lot cheaper than the 86-93s.

Thanks to all of you for your support. This is gonna be a long progect but I think I am up to the task.

Sorry it has been so long since I last posted. I have since started a new semester and moved into my own place (its 10 times better than the dorms). We, my boyfriend and I, are currently getting a place fixed in his barn so we can work on it. First on the agenda will be trying to stop the rust. It has some small surface rust and some major rot in the bedfloor and driverside frame rail. Any tips? Wish me luck.

there are products out there to stop rust... i've used 'rust mort' and i guess it works.... the tried and true method is to cut it out and make a new panel and weld it in. the bedfloor rust is no biggie, since you'll prolly replace that anyway - when you bag it you'll cut it up.

After taking some time off on the truck, to get some personal things in line, we are ready to jump back into it.

We finally got a hold of the original ownerand got him to give us the title. So now we are legal. LOL

After an attempt to have a little progress we have a few questions (trying to decide on a plan of attack).

Will a 5 speed transmission from a 1986+ b2000/b2200 bolt up to the 1983 engine?

Will a motor from a 1986+ b2000/b2200 bolt up to the motor mounts?

Are there any ther motors and trannys that are close to being bolt in?

Thanks in advance for all your help. We are planning on getting it road worthy as soon as possible.
