I just got this truck a couple days ago, and its by far the best Christmas present ever. There are alot of plans for this truck but its gonna be a VERY slow moving project. I am a college student so time and money will be very limited and I want to do it all right the first time. The bulk of the work will be done by my boyfriend and I, its gonna be my first time doing the things I intend to be doing so I will be asking alot of questions; bear with me.
The truck is a five speed but has a bad transmission and has been setting in a junkyard since 1992, so it is untelling what is all wrong with it now. The plans for the truck are not set in stone but the first order of action after finding all the problems with the motor and wiring will be to static drop it. After I get some money saved up we will bag it and work on intereior, then eventually the bodydrop. In between all this we will be doing bodywork. I am new to this whole experience, and my boyfriend is not exactly a mazda guy so I am pretty sure that I will be turning to you guys with some question, and asking for a bunch of help...so bear with me.
there are a couple others on my in the garage profile if you would like to look, tell me what you think.

oh shit, a pre 84 mazda and in kentucky. What are the odd's.

freakin sweet! another. woohoo. after you bag it you may think twice about the bd. i am about 1/2" from pinch as it is. i am bd my bed right now just in case i ever decide to bd the cab. i will just put spacers between the bed mounts and the frame to keep it as high as the cab.
i have a 5 spd tranny in my parts truck that i was told is good, the eng was just blown. slammed83 is going to get the doors off of it so i can figure out some way of getting you the tranny if you want it. let me know.

Welcome.Looks like a clean truck as far as mazdas go.I know of only one complete truck here like that and its a pile of rust.Good luck on the BD
