Thanks...it looks much better now. I have it real clean. I hope to try and work on it this weekend...we shall see.

i hope your installing gussets to that bracket, ive ran into this problem in the past.

Yes I do plan on running gussets...i have to notch out a bit on the top of the bracket to get to the bolts...those in the pics where a BITCH to get in.

Well finally a friggin productive update. Lets just summarize first. Motor is junk and needs replaced...well I have slacked on getting that out...finally pulled it. Then decided that the inner fender is going to get in my tires way anyhow so lets remove it to have more room. Then on to fixing/redoing the upper control arm brace. Originally it left no room to get the upper bag bolts in so I needed to notch a bit out to make room for the bolts. Then started on my gussets....on to the pics... enjoy.

You can clearly see where the crank pulley was rubbing the BLOCK...yeah thats now a big anchor.

For extra support I chose to leave a curved lip left and then rolled it up to create a nice smooth and structurally sound core support.

The bag plate, gusset, and notch...still need a gusset for the other side but ran out of time.

YESSS! ! progress! ! ! ! Lookin good Jeff. . . Now come finish my driver side rocker so we can take my cab off. . .
