Wouldn't worry to much about straightening it out. The rubber flexes plenty and is primarily ment to hold the bearing in place without transfering noise to the frame (interior). Nice driveline pic - I took the following pic, then came in and read your thread LOL

I also posted some info in your pic request thread.

Also just for some additional info - This is the info from my daughters truck:

Tranny output shaft angle: -5 degrees
1st driveshaft angle: -4 degrees
2nd driveshaft angle: +5
Pinion angle: -2

If I did my math right, I should have an pinion angle of 3 instead of 2, but oh well.
(diagram of her truck looks VERY similar to the one posted in your airride link)

Thanks immortal! I appreciate the effort atleast, lol!

Man, I still cant get over how lucky your daughter is for having such a SWEET truck!

Yea, your driveline angle is crazy too! Don't all the u-joints from one to another have to be within 3 degrees to prevent bind and wear?

Yea, the 2nd driveshaft is about the only thing different than mine!

I'm on the 4-link now and getting ready to put the tabs on the axle housing. Gotta fiddle around with the geometry again to see if I can still leave it the way it is...

I welded up the bushing link ends to the link brs and stuff and all, just need to figure out how to get the lower links in far enough to allow for the bag to have enough space and all... A little difficult but will get her done in a slow pace. Atleast she'll be right!

Immortal, you said your daughters truck is a cantilever? Got pics?

Mostly complete setup. Still running lines and other details. As for the 3 degree angle I may have to do some additional research. But for now can only say it seems to roll just fine at 1/2' off the ground. The above numbers were with about 4.5" clearance between the ground and the frame (forgot to mention that before)

Okay! UPDATE!

So I did'nt get too much more done today either cause it was my dads 45th b-day and all so we kinda had a little celebration and all...

I also been trying to get everything dead on with measurements or atleast within an 1/8th of an inch! I'm really frying my brain trying to get stuff so dang right! AHHH!

BUT, I did get the leaf springs cut out and out of my way! I also plated the frame rails where the 4-link x-member is going and got the x-member laid out and tacked up! I need to build the notch and all but will get to it tomorrow!

I ran into a little dilemma and all, but nothing big. Had to redo the cradle a bit so I could get the link tabs tacked up onto the axle and all and the pinion arm is sagging now so I gotta shim it up... Ran outt wood so I can't do much for it, lol.

My x-member for the 4-link is all screwy! Its all level both ways and all but the frame rail is just too loose for tolerances! My left sits up like 1/4" than the right! As well, to get my link bars to be level or parallel to the ground I gotta add some tubing on the bottom of the x-member to level it out and compensate for the 1/4" difference as well!

Ugh... Nonetheless, I have a few pics, to feed the hungry, lol!

The lower link tabs are tacked in, just noticed you can't really see 'em...

Welded the bushing ends on to the link bar so it don't move on me...

Haha, and the lady's neighbor who bagged a mini-truck I had came over and tried helping a little today and when I talked to him about it all he just had a perturbed look and pretty much went back home cause it was too much for him to take in within 5 minutes, haha!

I guess it is rocket science!

LOL, I think maybe you might be right! Funny how it only took him 5 minutes to figure out he was seriously out witted and possible out classed!

Looks like a good start on the front mounts. A+ on the frame plating - good idea that is missed by many.
