lookin good man. ive found thats been the thing causing me to go so slow is because ive been so anal about making sure everything is right. ive like checked everything everyway you possibly can like 10 times for real. ive pulled the bag on and off of each side prolly 15 times just making sure shit is good.

UPDATE!

Final weld in for crossmember portions..

Lower links tacked in! After building some spacers for the links to get the bars level at ride height! If I had'nt of done this, the crossmember would have sat some below the frame rails and would be exposed!

A little blurry! It was the last part of the night and got it tacked in to see how it is gonna work. Need to do some notching and all for the notch and whatnot. Still undecided what to do... Might actually go with some round tube! We'll see!

It felt like I got something done today since I see some links on!

Thanks again guys! I've wondered about whether or not I could get some sort of business going around here? I mean I'm not that pro at it yet, but I never see any minis around and I'm sure there are alot of people with the desire.

Haha, I think I've done more quadruple checking and more checking again and replaying it in my head hundereds of times before I weld or cut, lol. Its starting to make my brain all mushy!

Tomorrow, I should have the notch done and the upper links as well! Then I will get the fuel tank and air tank and compressors going in!

Looking good so far. Can't tell from pics, but I assume that the lower link tabs do not hang below the lowest part of your frame. (somebody I know made that mistake once...... oh yah, it was me)

UPDATE YO!

Well, I got alot done today, I would say! I was slackin' yesterday and a little this morning, and could have been further, but I needed a little break so I can reharden my brain, lol.

I finished building the x-member for the 4-link and got the uppers tacked in! On top of that, in order to get my proper geometry, I had to build out some spacers on the x-member so it could triangulate enough as well give a good IC.

Well, I had my dad help me cycle the 4-link through from the ground to the top until we hit the crossmember at the notches. Cycled both ends one up and the other down. And tried to move it side to side. NO BUDGE! I only had about 3 degrees in pinion change through the whole thing! I'm EXTREMELY happy!

I just gotta fine-tune the 4-link and recheck it all over again so I know its all good before I final welc the tabs! After that, I'll be getting onto the rest of the rear! WOO!

Let me tell ya though, yesterday I spent HOURS trying to figure out how in the world I could get the upper links on the x-member with enough triangulation and correct geometry, it finally came to me at the end of the day, lol! And now, for some reason, when I got the rear end back on my cradle, the pinion sits at 5 degrees now, not 3. Hmm.. Well, I guess its nothing a little adjustment cant hurt at the heims? BTW, on the upper links to get them to be short enough, I took out the crossmember side jam nuts at the heims, is that going to be bad?

X-member center between frame rails, not by driveshaft!

I think I'm starting to get the hang of this overhead welding. ITS SUCKS WITH THE FLUX!

Mount spacers for the 4-link to get the correct geometry. They sit at an angle to help with more articulation.

your welds look pretty devent considering your using flux. interesting way to mount the upper front link bars. i assume your driveline won't interfere...
your jam nuts are kinda important, they keep the bar from rotating with the vibration from the road... are your bars adjustable on both ends? and are they RH thread or one RH and the other LH? if they're RH and LH u NEED to run jam nuts or the length of the bars will change

Thats looking really good man.
