About ten minutes into it I realized the truck needed some altitude in order for me to fit under and use the drill. Out came the jack and the jack stands.

The install took all day to route the wires and hook it up properly. I only ran the wires and installed the front and rear tubes. The side tubes will require a custom bracket. There is too much goin' on under my rockers. Here is a really bad picture. LOL I am going to try this picture again tonight with a tri-pod. If I get off work early enough, maybe I can install the side pieces too.

Oh yeah and I re-mounted the rear licence plate. I had to cut 1/2" off the top and redrill the mount 1/2" up. It raised the plate almost flush with the bottom of the roll pan. The new Cali licence plates are aluminum, cut like butter with my tip snips. The old ones were some type of steel and you needed a cut off wheel to trim them.

The only down side to the work I did this week end is I found out that the lowest point on my truck is the air tank, followed closely by the gas tank. Both are scarred up pretty good and I haven't really dragged it because I knew about the gas tank. I am looking at a moon eyes 15 gal spun aluminum tank (mounted at the front of my bed)and an external fuel pump (mounted on the frame rail). Then I think the air tank can be raised by mounting it from the other side of the frame and spacing it up agaist the bed floor. It looks as if I can raise it 3" and get it above scrub. All this will be done after the wood bed floor, so I have to be CAREFUL.

Yep I feel ya on the AC and the ol' lady not wantin' to ride in the truck. Mine likes it since I finished the interior. I was trying to get her into the scene, but she likes her Escalade and now she is talking about an old Mercedes roadster. WTF???? My A/C is on the hot list. I have to swap all the parts from my roadster and take it the the local A/C guy....Maybe when I get my Tax return. Luckily it has been in 70's for the last three months and it hasn't roasted me yet.

we hit the 90s+ the past few days....I was rolling the 07 Civ the past few days but during the week I am in the truck (new job hopefully...so that means the AC will get the fix here soon I hope).....I found out today I need at minimum a new carrier bearing and possibly new U joints also since the drop....oh well....cheap fix at least.

Still love your truck though...awesome ride man
