Yep...but not for long. Its a 327, 4speed, so I will restore it. Then I might take up the banjo and marry my sister.

I think the seal to the transmission is going out. It leaked all over my driveway. Does anyone know how air ride affects auto transmissions? I remember long ago hearing that lowered auto trucks had a problem with the driveshaft being too long. Does anyone know what I am talking about? I have just about reached my frustration level with this truck! I bought it because I thought all the hard work had been done. Now it looks like at the very least the trans needs servicing. Is the seal around the driveshaft easy to replace? HELP!

Well, got the new tranny seal last night. It was just five bucks. I think I spent more in trans fluid! This weekend I am hoping to have enough time to install it. The new motor runs great. I went for a cruise last night. If I can get it to stop leaking Trans fluid, it will be 100% again. The valve train is a little noiser than I expected, so after the first I will take it in to have the valves re-adjusted. Also, I am having a little trouble finding a replacement radiator for this bitch. Mine is OK for now, but one of the mounts is broken. I think I might just take it out and have it re-soldered. I am hoping this is the last of the mechanical problems for awhile. I want to get back to customizing. The neon is just waiting to get installed, and I still want to install the wood-slats for the bed. LIKE THIS:

Man...I have a new project at work and I haven't even seen the light of day in two weeks. I hope to free up some time this weekend for the trans seal and cleaning of this truck. My other truck needs to be smogged...so I want to dig it out of the garage too.
