Well, its been a while since Ive updated this topic with pics. Thas because I havent had a chance to put in any real time on the truck. Instead, Rob coerced me into helping him tub the rearend of his Cavy, and start setting up for indy suspension in there too.
Heres some pics9i dont have any yet of the axle setup yet)

we put a half cage in it too.

Oh, and this is what the front of the Cavy looks like:

Then, Jon decided it was time to bag his s-10. We pulled it in on thursday before the may 24 weekend (its a Canadian thing! ). We decided on a 3 link setup sowe could leave the gas tank in the factory location. Also, it had to be up and driveable by Tuesday. Mission accomplished! Its the first truck we have officially bagged. it lays the kit out, with the tops of the tires hammered into the top of the factory wheel wells. The bed floor is uncut, and has room for his hockey bag, and a case of beer! (As i said, aCanadian thing! ) Heres a few pics of it:

This is Jon massaging his baby! If his dad saw this, he would kill him!

Rob, pretending he can weld...

Mods to the front lower control arms:

Me, doing some wiring...

And the end result!

Now, maybe I can get back to my baby...

Well, Its time for an update. I finally found bags that will lift my truck high enough to clear the wheels! I piccked up a set of 15 inch steelies with 70 series tires on them. They have almost the same diameter as 20s, so I can work with them to set everything up. The truck is finally off the jackstands, we have been playing with it on the shop compressor. It will need a little more than 100psi to lift the wieght of the v8
Here are some pics we took at the shop:

The engine bay all tuched up tight. The 20s will be a little wider.

This is her laid out on all four corners. The frame is on the ground, but the pinch weld is holding the cab about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch off the body mounts. looks like its going to need more cutting

I built the lowers myself, and the uppers are modified stock uppers from a 93 Lincoln Mark VIII.

Well, we finally fired up the Northstar in the Cavalier, and finished up the inie rear suspension in it, so we got some time to work on the Mazda. We got the rear end plumbed up the way we wanted, Im pretty happy with how it looks. We are working on cleaning up odds and ends all around the truck, stuff like steering, bodywork, and wiring so we can start pulling it apart for paint and powder.

Heres a few snaps of the rear plumbing:

This is the cavys IRS. Lays bodykit over 22x10.5s:

Thats all for now, next week, we will be back-halfing a nissan hardbody to lay rocker over 22s. Hoping to get some serious lift out of it! So the mazda will be collecting dust again...

I am lovin the full frame build in ontario. i am just over in st catharines and i am about to start my own full frame build. I am just wondering what your plan is for a safety? i know that you only have to get it safetied when you buy it but i havent done that yet. also with the police starting to really crack down what do you think a cop would say if he took a look under what was safetied as a stock truck.
