Here's the truck - '87 B2000... I believe it has plenty of history... I received it in the below condition - the high build primer was applied in "Homer Simpson Makeup Gun" technique. Body was ok, but not great. Hydraulics worked fine, after a full day of tinkering. Too many loose nuts, bolts and screws though, the truck was begging for a makeover.

Video....

I did a quick and cheap paint job on it... It's now VERY yellow! Can't tell in the pics, but I retinted the windows, 2.5% on the rear, 30% on the sides.

And here's the hydraulics, where they BELONG!

Clean slate, ready to start bagging this bitch. The old battery rack has to go - it hits the ground before the rear gets a chance to lay out.

The notch looks ok, will look better after some cleaning. The Monoleaf will go away, in favor of a 4-link.

This is what I have to work with up front... Lots of cutting and grinding in my future.

More to come on this one... The bag setup will be very basic... No need to go crazy - just want it to ride decent and lay out.

looking a lot better you going with bigger wheels?

Yes, actually the wheels and tires on the truck are for sale . Or trade. I'd like to see 17s or 18s on it. Escalades, Denalis, other GM truck wheels... Something clean and simple.

The hydraulics were cool for a few days, but then I drove the truck to work, and bounced like mad for 17 miles all the way there. After work, went out to the truck, and the batteries for the rear pump were almost dead. Then bounced 17 miles home.

That was enough for me... I could spend $400 on accumulators, or just trade the entire setup for bags. Air is the way to go for a comfortable daily driver... In my opinion.
