1990 Aussie ford courier build

Hey folks, this is my first build on b-scene.
What i'm starting with is a Very stock work hack that i scored for free.
a quick short list of what i am planing is as follows.
Shorten chassis, will be running a 4x4 x-cab bed.
bagged and linked.
4x4 sheet metal swap
raider headlight conversion
fe-t turbo conversion
channel dropping the cab (tub floor will remain stock, but the rear chassis clip will be lowered)
plus paint, interior and all the other little bits and peices i decided to do along the way.

heres a few quick pics







will have a few more pics in the comming days. currently have her up on stands, leafs have been removed, as has the fuel tank. will be removing the diff, body mounts, shock mounts, about 350mm of the rear of the chassis, and will also have my final notch plate template done.

Any advice would be great, looking at importing my bag gear and spindles from the states, so any contacts would be awesome.
also, if i run 2'' spindles , i should be able to lay frame without z'ing the front end yeah?

raider headlight conversion? i have a courier grille like yours and im interested in this.

raiders were a 4x4 wagon, like pathfinders or surfs.
did you guys get them?
the headlights were a bitch to find, but are basically a straight fit with the courier headlight surrounds.
the last pic in my first post is the raider headlight. its just sitting there at the moment. but you get the idea

i dont think we got the raiders. maybe after seeing yours installed, you might be able to find me some.

i'll keep my eyes peeled for you mikey, will also take some more pics with them full installed.
i need to get some clear gorner and tail light lenses.
im not sure if raider lights are the same as the escort lights you guys have? if anyone has escort lights and wants to measure them up so we can compare that would be great.

i checked ebay.com/au and found a raider. we deff didnt get those. ill check an escort at the local junk yard and see. can you get clear corners for that grille? i havent seen those. the clears for the mazda corners wont fit, ive tried...lol

shit, thanks for the heads up on the corners, i would have done my dollars. will see if i can get courier specific corners.
let me know the hight, bottom length and top lenght of escort lights. as well as how they mount.
i will be doing a custom grill, cutting the centre section along the groove at the bottom, and glassing or plastci welding it to the two outer surrounds, then doing a billet insert for the centre
Hey mikey, noticed you have 4x4 bar ends, they hard to come by over your way? i cant seem to find them anywhere over here.

my bumper is actually a fiberglass one piece i got off of ebay. its a great fit. yeah all the 4x4 stuff is hard to come by over here. they dont really make any aftermarket fenders or parts. your forced to find used factory parts in salvage yards.

nice, a 1 piece would be the goods, plus glass would make modding it nice and easy.
