It probably is a Ratical top which is from the early days of shAIM Industries.

The control arms are from Cando Specialties.

Your right on about the top. It was like the 2nd mazda kit from Ratical, thats who I bought it from, aim bought them out down the road. The original cut was to a hard top in '88. It stayed that way for 4 years. That sucked. The top leaked everywhere, it was noisy, and a bitch cause it was a pain to carry, and I got caught in the rain too many times without it. Then, 3 weeks after I finally painted it, and taking runner up at Steet Machine nationals in Duquion, I borrowed my buddys truck to go on a camping trip. He kept mine, went to a 4th of july party, and the worst happend. A giant bottle rocket landed in the car cover laying in the bed. It was on. It burnt from the fire wall to the tailgate. So, that was when the soft top came into play. I rebuilt the truck in 3 months, and that Truckin cover is from the next summer.

christ, that is a beautiful setup. I am SO digging the coilovers, that's sweet.

I'm definetly lovin the old skool style from back in the day. Can't wait to see more on this build up.

I know it's late, but welcome to the site. We need more guys who have been around the block back in the day when I was still in Huggies and drinking out of sippy cups.

by the way,I must say that is some fantastic craftmanship in your metalwork and overall setup and installation. I can only imagine how well the rest of it is going to turn out.
