Truck looks great!! Cant wait to see more. What kind of V8 did you go with? Did you make your own motor mounts and headers? Looks good, great work on the suspension and motor swap!

Can't mess with money. Must be nice. Looking good.

scrpnmazda i'm building my own motor. basic 350 stock bottom end, thumper cam, aluminum heads, and some multi-carb setup(thats just a mock up motor in there). the motor mounts are from a kit that i got from ultimate customs years ago. the headers are clipsters from speedway motors, but, they have been heated up close to the block to tweak the collectors off the frame rails. you can also see there is a hole in the pass floorboard, the collector was on the floor, so i'm just gonna make a small hump to fill that when i finish the firewall.

h20melon, i wish i was made of money. those gauges ($630) were half the price of the auto meter gauges ($1190) i was gonna get. i have a $10,000 budget for this build.

ten thousand sounds like a lot, but when you actually think what you can get for ten g's, its not much, especially when your puttin a slightly built sbc and full custom coilover setup in a truck that wasn't made for it in the first place. nice truck, and nice buildup so far!

trucks lookin badass!! what colour are you goin with?
those wheels look badass, i like your taste!

i'm gonna paint it flat black. the interior will sport the same flat red on the wheels, and some red vinyl to match. fill the front corner lights, round headlights, phantom grille, caddy tail lights.... i can see it in my head, but my retarded hands cant scribble it on paper.

I can seriously relate to that statement! Whats really tough sometimes is when the hands can't quite build what the mind says they can

Keep up the good work and as always try to keep the pic whores happy.

holy shit 007bob, you may have just converted me from airbags to coilovers. i have't touched my suspesnion yet, but i do understand that coilovers are more oriented to racing, which is what i'm looking for (that and you don't have to worry about air bags, lines, compressors, tanks). keep us posted, you're giving me so many ideas.

thanks blimp. i'm glad to see that you can understand the simplicity of the coil-overs.
i don't know how much it cost for a bag setup, air bags, lines, compressors, tanks, switches, gauges, mounts, plus the 1000 things that can go wrong with such a complex system.
the coil-overs were $800, high quality, adjustable rebound, and they look awsome.

i am building a vehicle to drive, not to park, drop, and look cool.

there is very little diversity here, it's all about bag and lay frame.......boaring
