No 302 fans here?

I would really like to find some current information on swapping a 302 into this truck. Most of the stuff I find has been long gone, like the company in Canada who used to make the swap kit. They're long gone, too.

I pulled the 2.6 today and pressure washed the engine compartment. As soon as I can find a good 302 I should be ready to start cutting/grinding/welding.

that'll be a good swap, what trans and transfer case are you going to use?
theres a motor mount kit on kijiji.ca but its for a chev 350 and for a b2200

I'm probably going with a T45 transmission just for money's sake. I can pick up one locally for $200 with a recent rebuild. As for transfer case, I won't need one. It's going to be 2WD.

I should have the engine and transmission by mid week.

Thanks.

My only concerns at this point are around wiring the EFI. I'm sure that will be a headache, but hopefully worth it in the long run.

love this truck.

what you doin with the old engine. i might be gettin a truck similar to this and it will need some engine parts.

Thanks. Right now the old engine is sitting in my drive way. I really haven't figured out what to do with it yet. I know how hard these things are to come by. I looked for one for months when I bought the truck, so I can't scrap it. I think most, if not all, of the parts are in good shape. It ran perfectly before the overheat and everything still turns over fine. I would like to sell it, but I have no idea what it's worth. Engine, trans (5spd) and transfer case are all still connected.

Well with the efi what you can do is wire it like a stand alone system or convertit to carb i run 3 wires and a starter sylenoid. thats it

Three wires would be nice, but I'm committed to EFI.
