Yes all of it. Oil, temp, speedo, tach, and battery.

Did you have to use magic?

Almost, haha.

I sent my speedometer cable to a company called speedometer solutions. Look them up on google. They cut the transmission end off the cable and put a T5 gear on it and a little converter unit. They take into account axle ratios and tire sizes to make the speedometer accurate. I think the price was roughly $200 though... So not cheap to do.

For the tach, I found a how to thread on here. Basically used a circuit board from a 92 Pontiac Firebird with a V8 and tach. Super easy 2 wire swap to put in the B-series cluster. No soldering or anything involved.

I used the factory oil pressure sensor from the Ford and wired it to the back of the B-series cluster. (New wiring). Could have maybe used existing wiring but I couldn't trace it out.

I wired the battery dumby light to the factory wiring harness. Just had to look at the wiring diagrams to figure out which wire it connected to on the alternator. (Existing wiring)

I used a B-series stock temp sensor and wired it to the back of the cluster (new wiring). I had to make a custom reducer bushing fitting to make it fit in manifold. I just used a tap on a brass plug.

Thanks for the detailed info. I'm about to that point now.

I got the truck back from the chassis dyno Friday. It made 330hp and 366 torque.

She's home now and in a couple of weeks I'll be able to get started on it. I have to finish my other project first.

I know its been over a year but any updates on this build?

This thread must be revived... Charging, CLEAR! ZAP!

Saw this truck the other evening, the OP is a friend of a friend.

He had an electrical problem and the harness has to be reworked some.
OP looks busy building Razor's right now.

I hope he finishes the Mazda, it is a cool project.

This thing is about 90% done. I just need to handle a few cosmetic issues and get the AC going. It gets warm in the summer here.

I had it running and driving for a couple of weeks. I drove it three or four days in a row and I can't believe how well it drives. Due to the large cam, I completely expected it to be erratic on the road, but its road manners are perfect. Sounds good. Drives well. I couldn't be happier with it.

One of the guys I let do some under the hood work overloaded the ACC circuit coming out of the fuse box. It melted about 8 feet of wire that is embedded deep under the dash. We're going to have to pull the dash back out and replace the circuit. Not an easy job, so it has been parked until he gets time to fix it.

One thing I did learn, though. The original rear end needs to come out pretty quickly, not because I think it isn't up to the task, but due to the "one wheel squeal". It isn't so bad when the roads are dry, but when they're wet, this thing is tough to drive on the street. Too much torque for one tire pulling.

Look for an RX7 LSD, it should help with the one-wheelie-peelie.

But glad to hear it was running well. Changing out that melted wire sucks though.

I already have a complete Ford 8.8 with LSD to put in it. I'll do that and the rear four-link all at the same time. Thanks for the recommendation, though.

Good deal. That's probably even better. Post a video once you get it up and running again.
