Did the same thing to my daughters 508 compressor and gave DEV a heads up on the process. And yes, getting the pistons back in the body is a big pain in the _ _ _ !!!!!

Does it work good for you??? Have you even gotten to use it yet?? I got the belt hooked up on mine and I flipped the switch to turn the clutch on. . . So it spins and I could hear air comin out but no fittings are hooked up yet. . . . I got a fitting that i can thread in and hook up brake line to the comp as the hard line goin back to the tank. . . . Do you think 5 feet of 3/8" brake line should but long enough?? I'm gonna run it back , then switch to reg airline the rest of the way to the tank. . . The comp would melt regular airline, so I think 5' should be sufficient. . .

EDC works GREAT!!! Ran the piss out of it in the Halloween parade (would guess 75 minutes almost non-stop) It will fill the single air tank fro 0-145 psi in about 27 seconds. Five feet of metal air line is plenty. For my install I got about 2 feet of 3/8" copper, then a hose barb fitting, factory A/C rubber line for another 18" then into the oil separator. Regular 1/2" plastic airline out of the separator all the way back to the air tank.

Just an FYI - put a check valve in somewhere, preferably back at the tank. The EDC will leak air when not in use and therefor drain your air tank. For my setup I actually allow for a small air leak at the hose barb fitting so that the EDC air line looses pressure quickly (within a minute or so) so that the check valve seats tightly.

I ran about 5 feet of 3/8" brake line and it still blew my regular air line out. . . So I ran another 55" piece so I have hard line ran all the way back to right above the axle. . . I have insane leaks right now cuz I haven't gotten around to fixin em yet. . but I'm not even worried about it cuz the compressor pumps so fast. . It filled 18 gallons of air to 200 psi in 4 minutes flat. . . Thats pretty damn fast imo. . haha. I haven't had any problems with it so far. . . except that the air smells horrible haha, because of the grease. .

^ LOL - yes hot grease does have a distictive odor. Must be the additional pressure you are running as I have not had any heat problems with my plastic line. But again, I am only running 145psi max.

Ya. . . I think I'm runnin about 250. . hahaha
