I still say get you that visor and then widen the rear end and make a dually. Would look soo sweet. Figure out a way to make a mini pete front bumper. Hell yeah!

im reallying thinkin heavy on the dually concept for the rear and i have an idea on how to pull it off using sections of my 2wd bed after i get the 4wd bed... i think its possible to almost make it look like a "sharpened" wide body... but have the back end a little wider than the "wide body" that i would want to do to the front end... do some wide rear tires... maybe like a 300 series... maybe some M/Ts?

picked me up a new toy today...

i got the cart and some of the cheaper welder goggles that look like old motorcycle goggles with flip up welding lenses... figured i should grab me a cart too... i know i didnt get gas shielded, but the only ones they had were 220volt or higher... so flux core will have to do for now...

so the mazda has started tickin pretty bad and im worried that now at 240k miles its probably time for some in depth motor work... rebuild/machine on the head, have the valves gone thru and checked/adjusted, maybe some bearings in the bottom end and some new rings... i want to be able to take my time and do it right... which means parking it for some undetermined amount of time... i dont want to have to do overnight rush jobs just so i can be able to drive again the next day... so earlier today (well it was today when today was still monday the 29th...) i found a 1996 VW jetta trek edition, 5sp for 850 on craigslist. i offered 700 cash for it and they accepted. its got a broken mount in the front of the motor that when it broke it went thru the part that feeds the oil cooler that the oil filter screws onto... so those are the two major things that are wrong with it at the moment... i will be towing it home, or fixing it where it sits and driving it home on tuesday (later today, after i get some sleep...). will have pictures up later.

so let me ask you guys... i was thinkin of pulling my bed off to get ready to cut the back half my frame off and do a Z to start thinking about getting ready to eventually bag the truck. if i z the frame with a 3 inch difference now, to be able to do an eventual 3 inch body drop, with a 6inch bed drop later to match, can i still rock a static drop with the z and cranked/rekeyed torsions until i bag later if i cut in front of the leaf spring hangers so as to keep the rear leafs in the same factory welds for now? and i was thinking of possibly putting in one or both of the leafs i pulled from each side for a softer ride... let me have some input fellas (and gals)
