project: b26 bomber *update* aug 25th engine installed

after having the truck for this long it time i make a thread for it

i bought the truck for 300$, needed altenator, brakes, brakeline, and a driveshaft
i stole the altenator and brakes from my gray truck and driveshaft came from crazymikey





then spring came, i need to ditch the wheels and winter tires, and i wanted it lower which i couldnt do with those wheels, so i had another truck just sitting around, and punked the wheels and the monster shifter from it





i rocked that for a bit then i remembered i had a set of moondiscs ans i really wanted to use them, so i went looking on the classifieds and found a set of hardbody wheels, then i went to the used tire shop and picked up a set of tires that i can make the way i want





then it looked like this





i also bought a truck from a friend an got a bunch of chrome frome it, like bumper grill and wheel well trim which all have to go on still

then the manager at my old job asked me to come in and show the new guy how to spray on a bedliner, and said i can spray my truck for a demo





looking at the ass end was making me sick and embarassing to drive it was getting really bad, the truck used to have a 90's bodykit molded to it, and was ripped off when i bought it so its bondo city

with my new job, i have a company truck (sonoma) and the maz sits all week
and now im back on it again, my buddy took my grant rollpan to work with him and made a few more, along with plate boxes
so the grinding inches of bondo and then the welding began, i cut bed corners out of an old parts truck, and graphed them in



bodyfilled and primed



i thought i was going to stop there, but now im going to do the whole truck and paint it too

and thats where im at right now, i have done more bodywork tonight but no pics yet

Looks sweet as hell. I would expect nothing less coming from you. I always loved how clean your other truck looks. I am really digging the white walls and moon disc too!

just a quick update, i got most of the drivers side sanded, its a pain in the ass when it used to have a molded bodykit, lots of body filler to take off and the only painted half the truck when it was done so now i need to feather out the whole bottom half
i put on a new drivers fender, shave the badge holes and the antenna on the pass. fender
i straightened out the bottom corner of the drivers drivers, it was bent from opening it when there was ice build up between the fender and door

i only got one pic, my phone died
just the filler plate i made for the antenna hole

update!!!!

i finally got all the body work done!!!!
after hours and hours of grinding down the damn bondo they had for molding the body kit, its all over with!!!
i just primed it tonight, i used high build primer, i put 2 thick coats on it and ran out.
so this week im going to get more primer and finish the drivers side, then sand it with 180 grit then another coat of primers and sand it with some 320, then paint it!!
hopefully done by the end of this coming weekend
