I'm following this thread because in my area you can find MPV's dirt cheap, the whole truck for a couple of hundred bucks with 100,000 or less miles on them because they rusted out or the AT went & they get estimates for repair of AT $1800-$3000 & theres nothing in the boneyards they were scouped up years ago.After just spending 6hrs. on 401 with a 2.2 with 340k(212,000mi) I'm getting tired of being passed by Smarties and anything else that has the power to wipe the drool off it's chin.I can get a 92 MPV pretty much for matching boneyard price ($100) I have a 92 FI so I would take the ecm from the MPV.Does anyone know(before I bring home another lump) if the stock 5sp.will mate to the MPV .What would be the points of conflict,if anyone has done this swap or can point in the right direction it would be a big help,thanx in advance.

im pretty sure the v6 will drop into a b2600 but the b2200, you have to fab up some mounts, and as for trasmissions, didnt mazda make a 5 speed 929? why not just pull the whole thing out? you can use the drive shaft to make it work with the rear end in the truck, and maybe the rear end,
im going to do some more research on this and ill report back later

you need a 2wd MPV cause those are the only models that come with a manual tranny. automatic blocks and manual blocks are totally different so you would nee to either do a hell of a lot of modification or find a manual block.
