Ok, just saw your Aug 12 pic with the bed on - must have missed that one (doh).
So anyway, knowing how my spokes fit in the back, how well do your tires tuck up into the rear fenderwells? For mine I ended of flairing the sheetmetal some, cutting out the little braces and adding trailer fenders on the inside to get the bed to fit over the tires when layed out.
My fuel and air tank sit about 6" from the floor when its fully layed out. The rear rims are a tight squeeze, I used some steel to slightly flare the box sides in order for them to clear, the tires almost touch the lip on the top of the box! Thanks for the compliment about my skill level! I feel that i have come a long way since the start of this project! hoping for some more progress this week.
In regards to the floor for now its just has a section chopped out to clear link bars and notch but i plan to do some sheet metal work to clean it all up and then possibly ad a tonneau cover. Today is my first of 10 days off so expect some major updates, Today i am finishing some gussets and the compressor mounts and tomorrow im going to be painting the frame/link bars and soon assemble/plumb/wire everything!
Few pictures from this AM
Zipped some gussets, burnt in some flat bar for compressor mounts
pulled the link bars to hit everything with a wire cup wheel/flap disk to clean it up before paint, back to the garage
