Yeah I know what your sayin! My home garage isn't heated and our heated shop is a weld\grind free zone because my dad has everything for his business there. I spend most of the winter ripping the
prairies\mountains on my Polaris RMK or snow board. Seasons not over yet!

Well I'm definitely going to have to get a red top battery and an upgraded alternator. I'm very sure most of the time my alt is solely running my compressors and hardly charging the battery. This is the result of many short drives with the comp always running

I would not recommend an optima their quality has went way down. A high capacity Deka or other high quality battery would be better. I personally know three people burned by optima lately.

Ive been reading the upgrade alt thread but still don't know what i should pick up. I would like it to be as cheap as possible, I'm not running a stereo so around 100 amp should be just fine. heading to the wrecker tomorrow what should i pickup that will bolt right up with no issues? Seams like any older mustang alt should be just fine?

Due to poor weather lately no vid yet but hoping for some sunshine this long weekend before I park the truck for the winter. Only 5 days left on the one month permit:( should be snowing soon anyways.

This is a 1 wire correct? Do these put stress on the alt bracket and often cause it to crack? I wouldn't mind having to modify or stiffen the bracket especially if it will save me 100-200 dollars. Cutting some plate and stiffening it would be minor.

Today was a bit of a sad day! I went and did some rearranging in my storage shop and moved all the sleds out of the way. I hauled the factory steelies back home to put on the truck before i drive it back for storage. I plan to spend a good amount of time cleaning the wire wheels in my basement in the off season. Only a few more days until she is parked for the winter
