no why not work on her in the winter man

My other family's shop that's heated is only used for storage no welding/grinding because of the contents. Its nice to take a break financially as well as mentally on the project but the gears are already turning for next summer. Please keep in mind winter temperatures of minus 40 Celsius are common where i live. I travel every weekend Sledding during the winter as well and it keeps me very busy with repairs and modifications

I have sat here and read through all 42 pages of this thread that you have written over the last three seasons of installs.

I am also a person who has never done this before and it is great to see your growth in skills and creativity over the time. It is kind of weird that for you all this has taken two years, but for me, two days.

There is sooo much info in this thread, wiring diagrams, welding tips, purchase and fab ideas, etc. This is very much a valuable thread. I know how hard it was for you last year to keep the project going. As someone working on projects alone, I know how hard it is to stop and take pictures and you have done a wonderful job. lots of large detailed pictures with each important post.

This post read like a book. There was a begining with character development. You as the lead and all of these helpful "dawgs" coming in with expertise along the way. The rising action was your front bags with LCA and UCA giving you trouble and then the weeks following where you wanted to sell it all since no one was there to help.

With a little encouragement from the supporting roles, you stayed with it one more year and now I can read the excitement in your posts even with the trivial problems you are encountering.

I know I will jump on here to ask questions and I hope my thread gets the love and adoration your's has.

I am going to shoot a show with my build and I hope to give you credit where it is deserved.

This is my first post and hopefully first of many. I wanted you to have my first since you have put so much work to inadvertently effect my future build.

Thank you and I cant wait until next season after the snow has thawed and you restart the build. Maybe me being in these hot friggin humid climate, I will be able to catch up with you.

Thanks for the kind words, It's great to hear you can learn from what i have accomplished on this truck over the past 2 years. Hearing that some one has read every page of my thread is flattering. I still have big plans for next summer and will be posting pictures as soon as it begins. I couldn't of built this truck with out the suggestions and comments from the other member's. Believe me when i say that there were times when people asked me when i was going to get the truck dragged to the crusher as it sat in my garage with no interior, cut out fire wall, no box/fenders/wiring/plumping or wheels! No matter what happens never give up on your truck! Never hesitate to PM me with any questions in regards to my build, I will be happy to answer.

man i hate you have to store it for the winter. i couldnt do that. we barely have winters if you can call it that. but im sure if i could ride a sled im sure id be hooked and would enjoy the winter some. the good thing i can see is like you said you can get a game plan for next time it comes out of hybernation, mentally and finacially so you can hit it hard. till we see it again lol

Hey man, new to this site. Just wanted to say nice build. I saved this thread for when I get to bag mine, lots of good info. Quick question for you, what size notch are you runnin and how much room do you have aired out?
skrapinsask   +1y

Thanks man! I ran a full 12" notch just to be sure i had enough clearance. I'm laying frame on 17's with a good amount of rubber but it would lay frame on 18's as well. I have about 3" of clearance from the top of the axle to the bottom of the notch. Go big better safe than sorry

Good luck!
