Ok i'll quit complaining.. After reading the last few posts I just went out and checked, from 80psi where it stops lifting to 160 psi in the Tank takes about 45 seconds at a 2K fast idle.

I want you guys to know I have a MS Word doc and when you make suggestions they go in that Doc...

Also Whats a check valve for?
90-b22dawg [andrew]   +1y
a check valve keeps the air from flowing back towards the comp.... thus keeping the air in the tank and from leaking back through the comp............

that appears to be the stock dryer???? id def get rid of that for an aftermarket separator id suggest going with smc......

this is the check valve i have, since my bungs on the tank are 1/2 i used a brass nipple between the tank and check valve then a 1/2ntp - 3/8 ptc (push to connect <---- sweet, easy, reusable fittings) then 3/8s dot air line up to the separator

this is simular to the oil/water separator i used

i imagine your leaks are going to be beacuse of the hardware the previous owner used.... as i stated in an earlier post.... the fittings used have metal ferrals in them which will cut into the plastic line.... the fittings that are on there normally used for plumbing, used on copper (WATER PIPE!!! NOT AIR)..... not intended for use on plastic... the ferrals are the rings that tighten down onto the line..... the edges of the ferrals are very very sharp (im a plumber of 5 yrs and have been cut by them often).......... what id suggest is buying dot approved fittings that are intended for pnematic use.....
