got the plastics on took a little bit of trimming on the valance where it mates to the bumper, but ya can't see that anyway... might fill the blinker slots, or throw in some fog lights, not sure yet, could be a while on that anyway...

on the inside of the valance just to the right of the pass. blinker slot, you can see a pretty deep cut and it's a little twisted, not sure how to fix that right now without cutting it out, so i'm just gonna leave it there... till i figure out what i wanna see it look like in the end..
still need to bring the bumper out a little more too, but i think i'm just gonna sand it a paint it, i wanna replace it with diamond plate, i that would look killer..... maybe it's just me....

had a scare last week.... the oil light came on, started flickering but would never go out.... bfor it would come on when i was turning a corner at any speed over 30, or rolling down hill outta gear... this latest time it came on it just flickered but never went out. i read somewhere on here that an engine with that kind of mileage (240,000) when the oil light came on it was game over, so i started sweatin... but thankfully, an oil change, new oil filter, and the light hasn't come on since..... whew..... ya'll had me sweatin'...lol

tomorrow, headed out to the j.y.'s lookin for a frame/parts truck, see if i can find an affordable deal....here's hoping....

ok, so not a single j.y. in town has a b... the one that does.... don't get me started, but i heard about one about 20 miles out that has 2 4x4 and, i also talked to a guy who has one, same as mine, he uses it for parts and says he doesn't need the frame...woohoo... gave him my number told him i can pull it apart but he wants to keep the rear suspension..... which is fine by me... i wanna go low anyway.... i'll figure out a way to slap my susp. in there after i cut it out that is...lol

WOO HOO found a frame only 10 miles from the house, sittin in a j.y. guy quoted me 350 including rear suspension.... best deal i've run up to so far so i'm gonna take it.... when i can afford it...lol.... gotta quit smokin anyway..... maybe this'll give me the drive to finally do it..... here's hoping and praying...
fergusontom45   +1y
almost had one....
guy offered my a whole pickup for 200.... only problem was i don't have the money.... and he was on his way to junk it..... he said it ran but smoked real bad.... too bad, i saw it last week, everything else was good except the bench seat..... a little torn.... as they say....."C'est la vie"

well, i've decided, being that i'm an avid outdoorsy type, i'm gonna lift it instead.... not going all redneck, just gonna add a couple inches suspension, and an inch on the radius of the tires.... still savin dollars for the frame, maybe throw some fog lights in the valance, and the chicken lights on the roof.... no roll cage, no kc floodlights.... just a lift, and some larger rubber.... this way i'll still have use of the vehicle during hunting season..... being that i sold my dodge and no longer have the ground clearance i used to have..... forestry roads can get a little questionable after a wet season.... but don't worry it's gonna look good.... might eventually go solid axle up front...... has anyone here ever done this before? need fwd tranny/transfercase, axle, front suspension, and the knowhow to get it done, all input will be appreciated.......
