yea over here the cool kids dont go for horsepower or killer waps
its about dog power now as u may have reed on dut haha
there has been abit more progress since these pics
as iv done some square tube along the sides of the floors
to drop sheetmetal from which will hang down to my
new sills the gusset the inside under the floor for extra strength
ill get picks up 2moro nyt as the floor will be welded in by then
and cab bolted back on............

so are you building a whole new floor or just adding more support to it kinda lost me there

iv narrowed the floor to hang sheetmetal off
so it meets the new sills
heres a few pics pf how iv sheetmetaled my floor sides.
the floor is now finished ready to go back under the cab
jus run out of time to give everything an extra clean
before rewelding the floors back in so il give all the metal a once over
then weld back on then etch prime the sills the weld in under rear window
then mock up engine for new smooth firewall
i stepped the sheetmetal in alittle around thru where the door closes aswell
the sheetmetal also hangs to the bottom of the new sills
so it meets the new sills

floors now welded in jus got to do under neath & the back of the cab & fit like a glove lol

ok well the floors weled in & couldnt use the grinder to clean my new sills up
before etch pimer & seam sealer, thatl be 1st thing in the morning,
so i though id test for the new engine i got an old motor out bolted it together to do all the test fitting & make up the new engine mounts, need a different sump which has the bump at the rear to clear my steering & new tailshaft, i could use the standard tailshaft if i was running a rx5 5sp but itl get a 13bt 5spd box, so i need a new yoke for the start of my tailshaft & a few little things............
